My China dream is that China can have a good trust system.
Nowadays, many Chinese people are experiencing the trust crisis. The crisis fills every aspect of the society. In my opinion, there are three main aspects that show the phenomenon.
One major aspect is between the government and the residents. In recent years, China has put too much attention on the development of the GDP, but the livelihood issues have not been improved by the government and the citizens’ real income is decreasing each year. The financial crisis years ago caused difficulty in employment. To finish the employment tasks, all levels of governments provide false statistics to the higher authorities. The explanations about some serious questions that governments gave are also false. They are always hiding the truth. A few years ago, the “GuoMeimei case” caused the distrust of the Red Cross. In Ya’an earthquake this year, the contribution accounts obviously decrease
The most important issue is the severe corruption. Today the money and power are almighty. The previous “Li Gang case” and the Chinese student’s bribery of the teacher in England a few days ago and other similar cases all result in citizens’ anger. The hate the officials and don’t trust the government any longer.
The second aspect is between the markets and the consumers. The hottest topic these years are the food safety. There are so many problems in the food safety area. In order to reach required standards and decrease the cost at the same time, some food enterprises add toxic substances in the food. In the past few years, almost every product on the rack has been involved in a certain scandal, including the toxic milk power, illegal cooking oil, the pork with bacteria, man-made eggs, tainted seamed buns and wax apples. They are all caused by the producers’ running after the profit. It’s no denying that the citizens are disappointed by Chinese food and the supervisory agencies. Nowadays, the commercial advertising has been the first commercial fraud in China. The functions of many goods are exaggerated. This inevitably damages the customers’ rights. Besides, the credit fraud and employment fraud are also serious.
The third aspect is between the ordinary members of society. In some big cities such as Beijing, the authority has different polities to the native residents and the immigrants. The natives can acquire everything easily, but the immigrants can’t. This strengthens the divergence among people. The saddest is that people don’t believe each other any more, because so many people take advantage of the kindness. The “Pengyu case” in Nanjing caused people’s fear to help strangers. The unimaginable case was the fisherman demanding high price for their retrieval of dead bodies.
Trust among people is disappearing.
As far I am concerned, I feel sorry for China’s present situation of trust. It is generally known that trust is the most basic condition in our daily life. Without trust, we have to doubt other’s intentions, so we can’t have any friends or a normal living circumstance. A harmonious society needs trust. I hope the governments, the enterprise and the citizens can work together to rebuild a trustful country.
I believe my China dream will come true in the near future.
